Bob has been practicing law for 35 years, and he has been an appellate litigator since the early 1990s, when he was an Assistant United States Attorney in the Appellate Section of the United States Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Georgia, in Atlanta. Bob has extensive experience in state and federal courts across the country in a wide variety of subject matters, including products liability, premises liability, intentional torts, medical malpractice, class actions, real estate matters, business disputes, government enforcement proceedings, and civil and criminal RICO. In addition to his work in various courts of appeal, Bob regularly is “embedded” in trial teams – before and during trial – to assist them in addressing legal issues in the trial court and to help properly posture cases for appeal.

Bob has been an Adjunct Instructor at Georgia State University College of Law since 2010, where he has taught or assisted in teaching classes in Georgia Appellate Practice, Products Liability, Legislation, and Administrative Law. In 2022, Bob became a Visiting Assistant Professor of Practice at Emory University School of Law, where he teaches Products Liability and Administrative Law.
